Booster Meeting

There is a booster meeting this Thursday at 6:30 PM. Band boosters supports the band all year long so please come hear what is new and what help is needed. The parents are half of what makes the band so successful! We could not do all the things we do without you.

Winter Winds/Guard/Percussion

Please register ASAP. We still have MANY students missing from our official registration lists. Also, the initial $150 winter deposit is past due. The next fee payment is due December 11.

Winter Guard and Winter Winds use parent drivers to transport students. Please fill out this form to turn in to the booster board along with a copy of your car insurance and driver's license. You must also fill out the Raptor form with the district to be an approved chaperone (parent drivers double as chaperones). 

Initial welcome emails have gone out to guard and wind families, with a ton of information needed for the season.

American Fundraising Group Fundraiser


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A fundraiser brochure went home with your student the Friday before Thanksgiving. You can find all the information needed for the fundraiser in THIS BLOG POST, including how to set up your student's account. Orders are due online by December 8.

Basketball Concessions

There are still open spots in basketball concessions sign ups. This is a great way to earn money towards your student's fees ($10 per hour). If you sign up and cannot attend, please remove your name from the sign up at least 48 hours in advance so someone has the opportunity to take your place. 

Christmas Concert

The Christmas concert is next Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30 PM. This is a joint concert with the choir. 

MONDAY, December 8th at 5:00 PM we will be meeting at the school to decorate the stage for the concert. If you are free, please come and help. 

Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 13th at 11:00 AM is the Mt. Juliet Christmas Parade. We are looking for a few parents to walk the parade with the band. Please sign up if you are available.

Prior to the parade, the boosters will be hosting a table and selling baked goods, hand warmers, and Christmas paraphernalia. Please sign up to donate food and/or help run the table.

Week of November 23

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all enjoy your week, and it is full of family, friends, and food.

Winter Registration

If your student is participating in Winter Band, please register them ASAP. We are missing a LOT of students. 

Fundraisers


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I do have some updates on the fundraiser that your student brought home on Friday. If you are wondering what I am talking about, ask your student for the brochure that was sent home with them.

This is a student fundraiser, meaning 75% of the profit goes back to the student to go towards their band fees. PLEASE take this week with family and friends to see if anyone would like to support your student.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • The student will need to create an account on the American Fundraising Group website.
  • The school code is 6157585606.
  • You will receive an email with your student's unique link to send to family and friends.
    • Items purchased from family that live far away can be shipped directly to them (their will be shipping fees).
    • For local sales, family can select ship to school and items will come to the school for the student to hand deliver. There is NO shipping fee with this method.
  • ORDERS ARE DUE BY DECEMBER 8th. All orders need to be made online through the student's unique link.
  • For items being shipped to the school, they are expected to arrive by December 16. They must be picked up when they arrive. We cannot keep items at the school.

Volunteering

Thank you to the parents that showed up to help make ornaments for the students today!

Our next volunteer opportunity will be Monday, December 8 at 5PM. We need to decorate the stage for the band concert the next day.

Please be sure to log all volunteer hours on the appropriate google form (link in the sidebar). You MUST track your hours to receive the $250 off at the end of the season for volunteering 25 hours of your time. 

Christmas Parade

The Mt. Juliet Christmas Parade is December 13 at 11AM. We are looking for a few chaperones to walk with the students. Please fill out the sign up genius if you are available.

Also, on the day of the Mt. Juliet Christmas parade, the band is going to be setting up a table to sell items as a quick fundraiser in the WWMS parking lot. We are looking for parents to donate breakfast sandwiches and muffins as well as a few parents to help run the table. If you can help, please fill out the sign up genius

Last week we held a Winter Interest Meeting, and we did not have a chance to go over the Parent Orientation Packet or the sponsorship information so I want to take a moment to discuss a few things after the weekly schedule.

Winter Interest Meeting Highlights

  • REGISTRATION
    • If your student is participating in a winter group, please register them ASAP. There is a QR code on the back of the winter orientation packet to register or you can click here to register
  •  WINTER FEES
    • The winter fee schedule is listed in the packet and can also be found on the blog. The first $150 is due now and is nonrefundable. The last $250 can be dropped by participating and logging 25 parent volunteer hours.
  • MEDICAL FORMS
    • Medical forms do not need to be turned in again unless information has changed. 
  • SCHOLARSHIPS
    • Winter scholarships are available. There is a QR code in the orientation packet or you can click here to apply.
  • SPONSORSHIPS
    • We are accepting sponsorships for the winter season. A sponsorship form was handed out at the interest meeting. If you need more you can find them here
    • Winter sponsorships have a hard due date of December 16. That includes paperwork, logo, and sponsorship payment. 
    • 50% of sponsorships go back to the student. This is a great way to earn money towards band fees!

Week of November 10th

Has it seemed a little quiet without the rush of marching season? A little breather is nice before we start up for winter!

Veterans Day Parade

The marching band will be in the Lebanon Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday at 10 AM. We are still looking for a couple more chaperones to attend. Please sign up if you are available to help. Call time is 8:20 AM in the band room. 

Booster Meeting/Winter Interest Meeting

Also on November 11th, we will have a booster meeting as well as the winter interest meeting. 

Marching season may be over, but the band boosters continues on. We will have information regarding upcoming events, picture purchases, CoC video purchase, and upcoming fundraisers.

The winter interest meeting is open to all students AND parents to discuss the upcoming winter season.

Payments

Final payment statements are going/went out today. It is imperative that you pay any overdue fees as per the contract agreement for fall.

Emails with final meal payment due will go out early this week. Please pay promptly. 

Basketball Concessions

The first basketball game of the season is coming up November 20. The Sign Up Genius will be live later this evening (link in sidebar), and you can earn $10/hour towards your student's fees.

Pampered Chef Party

We have a parent hosting a Pampered Chef party, and the proceeds will go to the Band of Gold!

CoC Video Interest Form

A Contest of Champions video interest form was emailed out and shared on Facebook last week. We have the opportunity to purchase videos in a group sale of the competition but there are multiple options available. Please fill out the form if you have not already, and the majority choice will be announced at the booster meeting on Tuesday evening.

Week of November 3rd

After concert band practice on Thursday, any students interested in participating in Winter Winds this upcoming season are invited to the band room. Come see what the winter season is like. This is open new AND returning students.

Veterans Day Parade

The marching band will be in the Lebanon Veterans Day Parade on November 11. This parade is during school hours, and we are still looking for a few more chaperones to attend. Please sign up if you are available to help. Call time is 8:20 AM in the band room.

Also on November 11th, we will have a booster meeting as well as the winter interest meeting. 

Marching season may be over, but the band boosters continues on. Please plan to attend this meeting.

Payments

The fall marching season is officially over, so it is imperative that final payments are submitted to the band. Pay via cash/check in the white box in Mr. Cox's office or via Givebacks.

Updated band statements went out last week. If you worked concessions or inputted volunteer hours recently, those credits will be added by the end of the week and new statements will be sent out. 

Emails regarding meal payments were sent out the week prior. We are currently -$3500 for meal payments so please make your payments asap.

Please review, send any questions, and submit outstanding balances this as soon as possible.

Basketball Concessions

The Sign Up Genius for basketball concessions will go live later this week. You can earn $10 per hour towards your student's winter fees by working basketball concessions.
