CONCESSIONS CO-CHAIR AVAILABLE

The Concessions Co-Chair voting position recently became available. On Thursday evening, the Boosters voted for our other co-chair, Shannon Edge, to be moved into that position leaving us with an opening. This co-chair is a non-voting position with the responsibility of supporting the concessions functions for the remainder of the school year. This includes football, basketball, and any hosted competitions. The person will cross-training for all duties and assist with maintaining a system for inventory and ordering and collecting data for reporting. If you are interested, please email me at mjbogboosterpresident@gmail.com.

CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS - GROUP TICKET SALES
Contest of Champions will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at MTSU. This is a full day competition with prelims beginning at 9:00am and finals at 7:30pm. The plan is to start at 10:00am with a planned route through all three subdivisions. Plans are going to be finalized this week but we ask that you share this flyer on social media. The QR code link is already live for anyone who wants to donate but cannot be at the event.

MUM FUNDRAISER ENDS TUESDAY

The current all mum fundraiser ends Tuesday, September 16. To up the stakes, Mr. Cox has tasked the ban with a goal of selling 600 plants.

Available in gorgeous fall colors (yellow, bronze, purple, white, and red), the plants will be delivered to Mt. Juliet High School on Tuesday, September 23. Families will be responsible for picking up their plant orders that day. The vendor always provides healthy plants that are wrapped so once you remove the plastic, they cascade down into the beautiful flowers you see in the order form.

Process:

Step 1: Use a spreadsheet to keep track of your customer names, addresses, orders, and payment.

Step 2: By September 16, submit ONE COMPLETE ORDER order through this Google form. This will include the total number of each color and size ordered by your customers.

Step 3: By September 16, Submit ONE FULL PAYMENT by September 16 through Givebacks or via check made payable to Mt. Juliet Band Boosters. Please use the memo line to note the payment is for mums and include your student’s name.

BUTTON FLAIR - MJHS, BOG, BAND FUN, AND SPOT ON AVAILABLE

If you have placed an order for buttons, please remember to make your payment. They can be paid via cash or check in the white box in Mr. Cox’s office or Givebacks. Checks should be made out to Mt. Juliet Band Boosters and the memo item should include your student’s name and a note that the payment is for buttons. CHECK OUT THE FULL SELECTION OF BUTTONS HERE - there is still time to order

FAT HEAD PAYMENTS

If you ordered a fat head for your band student, your $30 payment is due now. You can make  your payment via Givebacks under miscellaneous (please include a note during checkout) or via check payable to Mt. Juliet Band Boosters. Please use the memo line to note the payment is for the fat head and include your student’s name.

PROP PAINTING

The props need a fresh coat of white paint. We are looking to do this on Tuesday, September 9, at 6:30pm, since the band will not be rehearsing. With enough hands, this will take less than a couple of hours. The board will be meeting so board members will not be able to assist. If we can get 4-6 people, they can bang out a couple of coats quickly. This is time that can be counted toward volunteer hours. Please email mjbogboosterpresident@gmail.com if you can assist.

MUM FUNDRAISER

Families will be responsible for picking up their plant orders that day. The vendor always provides healthy plants that are wrapped so once you remove the plastic, they cascade down into the beautiful flowers you see in the order form.

SAVE THE DATE - BEAR CRAWL FUNDRAISER

We’re bringing back a fundraiser favorite! On Saturday, September 27, the band will be bringing their awesome beat to the streets. Our family’s first exposure to the Band of Gold was when they did a Bear Crawl through our subdivision. We were hanging out inside when we heard a band and rushed outside. The band was marching through, collecting donations along the way. Our fundraising chair, Stephanie Hall, will be providing a full update on Thursday evening at the Booster Meeting. In addition to marching through three local neighborhoods, Stephanie also has some fun stuff planned for the students at one stop. We are excited to share more on Thursday.

MUM FUNDRAISER: SEPTEMBER 2-16

Every fall we hold a mum fundraiser which has traditionally been one of the most successful fundraisers each year.

Click here to access the flyer and order form

PROCESS:

  1. Use the tracking spreadsheet provided on the back of the flyer (or your own) to keep track of your customer names, addresses, orders, and payment.

  2. Submit ONE complete order and one FULL payment by September 16 through Givebacks (or check) for payment and this Google Form to submit your completed order.

FUNDRAISING POTENTIAL: Students earn 75% of the profit from the sale of each mum while the band gets the remaining 25%. It is important to note that the percentage is based on the profit per mum, not the retail. For example, if the profit was $10/plant, the student would get $7.50/ea while the band would get $2.50/ea.

BAND FLAIR - BUTTONS NOW AVAILABLE

The band is doing an ongoing fundraiser for the rest of the football and competition season. Our very talented Vice President, Michele McDonald, has created 80 different designs. Prices are $2 for small and $4 for large. =

#SpotOn buttons? YEA! MJHS buttons? Yes. Section buttons? Yep. Funny buttons? Absolutely. Mom buttons? Of course. Dad buttons? Check. Student buttons? Yup, got those too. Big buttons and small buttons. We have so many that EVERYONE GETS A BUTTON! Well…the selection is that good. Click here to check out the options and place your order.

SWAG STORE - SPOT ON SHOW SHIRT LIVE

The show shirt for Spot On! is now live in the Swag Store in both short- and long-sleeved options. When checking out, if you select pickup as an option for delivery, the orders will be delivered directly to the school and you will not be charged. Show shirts for the students have already been ordered and the cost is included in their band fees.

CHAPERONES - FOOTBALL AND COMPETITIONS

The need for chaperones is ongoing. This week we have an away game on Friday with the entire band traveling and then our first performance at the Wilson County Exhibition on Saturday at Green Hill High School. The Board is working to define and communicate a list of needs from chaperones to help make this process easier to navigate for those who sign up.

FAT HEADS - LAST CALL FOR SENIOR PARENTS

As a senior parent, you should have received an email from our Vice President, Michele McDonald, inquiring about your interest in purchasing a Fat Head. If you have not yet responded, please reach out to her at mjbogboostervp@gmail.com. These are always a fun (and funny) way to support your student at games and competitions throughout fall and even into the winter season.

AUDITORS NEEDED

The District requires a volunteer auditor to review our bookkeeping records. We are researching requirements but if this is something that interests you, please email me at mjbogboosterpresident@gmail.com and we can discuss details as we find out more.
