Thank you, parents, for showing up to help with meals, chaperoning, tote-n-tow, driving, uniforms, and painting props! You are truly the village that supports this band program!

We have a lot coming up this week. The following help is needed (Sign Up Genius): 

Monday - Freshman game

• Concessions help (band students not in after school practice are welcome to help! Sign them up!)
• This is will be a more limited concession stand, but we still need adult cashiers and grillers.

Saturday - Liberty Creek Wolf Pack Invitational

• 5 parent chaperones
• Meal help
• Help with student hair
• Tote-n-tow help
• Laundry helpers to wash uniforms

Freshman/JV Concessions

Please consider volunteering yourself or your student for our final Freshman concessions tomorrow! We need adults to work as cashiers and work the grill. Some of our band students who do not have practice after school on Mondays have been volunteering to work and have been AMAZING! We DO give volunteer work hours to our student volunteers!

Pickup Mums on Wednesday!

Mums will be arriving at school on Wednesday! If you are available to help sort mums after school, please come by the greenhouse (across from the band room).

Mums can be picked up from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. We CANNOT hold mum orders.

If you have arranged with Stephanie to pay tomorrow, please do not forget to bring your payment. 

Craft Night

On Thursday, we are looking for parent help to make quivers and arrows for the marching show.

 

Come help out from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. I am not sure where we will meet, but most likely in A128 (down the hall from the band room).

 

Bring scissors and glue guns if you have them! We have ~50 to make so we definitely need help to get them done! 

 

Liberty Creek Wolf Pack Classic

On Saturday the band heads to it's 3rd competition of the season at Liberty Creek High School. You can find a copy of the event schedule here. MJHS is scheduled to perform at 7:00 PM.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the gate with cash or card.

The band room will open at 8:30 AM on Saturday. We will be feeding the band students twice ($14) - a meal in the afternoon before they leave and a brown bag lunch on the bus on the way back to school.*

 

* Please note that it is a bit chaotic in the parking lot after a competition, and we do not take the time to mark off everyone who eats so we just assume everyone finds something they want to eat. 

 

You can find the parking situation below. Please note that handicap parking is on the other side of the stadium from spectator parking. There are a LOT of stairs to climb from the spectator parking lot to the stadium. If you or other family members attending have a handicap tag and/or cannot manage the stairs, please try to park in the handicap lot. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Senior Night

Senior Night is quickly approaching! Senior parents, please be sure to submit senior info by September 25th. Please refer to the email from our Booster Vice President for more information. 

CoC Tickets

An email went out regarding the purchase of CoC tickets in advance. MTSU offers us the opportunity to purchase discount group tickets ahead of time for $15 each. They are $20 at the gate. Orders and payment are due by September 30.

Small Waters

You all have been amazing at donating small waters for the band students! This heat dome is no joke and these kids are THIRSTY.

 

We should have enough waters to get us through the upcoming competition on Saturday, but after fall break we are back to Friday night football games followed by Saturday competitions, and the band goes through a LOT of water. 

 

If you find yourself at the grocery store or Costco or BJ's, please consider grabbing a pack of 8 oz. waters for the band kids.
