Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is enjoying some much needed downtime with family.
First, I want to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to all the parents and students that helped with concessions this week! The temps were absolutely miserable on Monday and Friday, but you guys were amazing at running the concession stand. THANK YOU! We absolutely CAN NOT do it without you!
Our students were real troopers playing in the heat on Friday! Thank you, chaperones and tote-n-tow helpers!
Thank goodness for our casual uniforms. Speaking of which, we are missing several of the black sponsor shirts. Please be sure your student does not have one at home. They are to be kept at the school.

Meal Info
This week we will be feeding the band students **3** meals! They will be fed Friday before the football game, and twice on Saturday. $21 will feed them for the entire weekend.
Friday's meal is a Baked Potato Bar with chicken or pork. Saturday is TBD, but will be updated soon.

Mums Fundraiser
Our mums fundraiser is off and running! Your students should have brought home a brochure last week (check those backpacks!).
We have a lot of fun prizes for participating students! See the flyer below for more info.

Mr. Cox is asking every band student to sell 8 mums!
Important things to know:
- Orders will be due September 14 and will arrive at the school September 23
- Submit all orders at one time in the Mums Google Form
- All orders MUST be picked up September 23 (time TBD)
- 5 mums colors available - Yellow, Orange/Bronze, Purple/Pink, White, Red
- Available in 3 sizes - 12-18" ($15), 18-24" ($20), and 24-30" ($25 and come in a decorative pot)
- Succulent bowl available to order in a decorative pot - $20
- Payment can be a check made out to Mt. Juliet Band Boosters or paid via Givebacks.
Aluminum Cans
We are still looking for someone to take our aluminum can trailer to the scrap yard. It is in Lebanon. If you can help, please let me know!
Show Shirts, Band Buttons, and Yard Signs
If you ordered show shirts, they should be arriving this week! Plan to wear them on Saturday to the Hendersonville competition!
Get your band button orders in asap and I will have them ready to hand out at Thursday booster meeting!
Yard signs should be arriving Wednesday. Come to the booster meeting to pick up on Thursday. If you can't make it, I will leave them in Mr. Cox's office for pick up.
Parent Volunteers
The hardest part of being on the booster board and/or being a committee chair is begging for parent volunteers every week. If you are ever available to help, please sign up on the Sign Up Genius. I know we ask a lot of band parents, but to run the exemplary program we have at MJHS, it takes everyone working together.
I can promise you we're all tired by the end of the week. But it doesn't change the fact that the band still needs your help.
A head's up for October 2: This is the band's Senior Night when our seniors are recognized at the football game. Our senior parents also escort their seniors onto the field. This means that we will need more freshman, sophomore, and junior parents to step in as chaperones, tote-n-tow, concessions, etc. to help out. If you are not a senior parent, please plan to help if you are available on October 2.
