Contest of Champions
- If you have not yet paid for your CoC tickets, please pay asap. Emails will go out to those who have not paid this week.
- If you would like to purchase a thumb drive video of the CoC competition (Class AA prelims and all of the finals performances) please fill out this Google Form.
Trunk or Treat
The high school is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 29. The band boosters will participate with 2 parking spots.
- They are expecting 900 trick or treaters for this event!
We are asking each band student to donate 2 bags of Halloween candy.
- Candy can be dropped off in Mr. Cox's office.
- We need parent and student volunteers to help decorate and give out candy! Sign up here.
- Students will earn volunteer hours for helping.
- Bring a camp chair!
MJHS vs GHHS and Playoff Info
Friday is our final football game of the regular season.
We still need 2 more chaperones for this event and some meal help.
Come cheer on the team with the Band of Gold!
ALL MARCHING BAND STUDENTS are expected to attend the game, including the front ensemble and guard. This information is directly from Mr. Cox.
Playoffs: We are currently expecting the football team to participate in at least 1 playoff game which will be November 6. We are not currently anticipating that we will be hosting a playoff game (no football concessions). The band is planning to attend the playoff game to cheer on the football team. Chaperone signups for the playoff game have been added to the Sign Up Genius (we do not yet know where we are going).
Band Dues & Band Meals
All band dues should now be turned in. We are still waiting for final statements to be sent out. If you have questions about your account, please reach out to our accounts receivable treasurer, Tracy, at mjbogartreasurer@gmail.com.
Emails regarding band meal payments went out last week. Please get caught up asap.
Winter Interest Meeting
There will a winter marching band interest meeting on November 5 at 6:00 PM.
If your student is interested in participating in the winter marching program, is curious about the program, or if you want to just learn more about it, please plan to attend.
Attending does not mean you are committed. Come to the meeting to learn more about it and ask any questions you might have.
As with fall marching, the boosters offer scholarships and discounts for those wishing to participate.
